WANZA LEE "DID" WYNN

Wanza Lee “Did” Wynn passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Baptist Village Retirement Center in Oklahoma City.
Wanza Lee "Did" Wynn was born April 24, 1926 in Blair, Oklahoma to Harry and Bertha Mae Rose Baker. She grew up and went to school in the White Flat area where she met and married Curtis Andrew (C. A.) Wynn on September 14, 1941. They were married 58 years before his death in March, 2000.
They made their home in Hester, Oklahoma from 1941 to 1948 when they purchased a small farm in the Russell Community. She was very involved in the farming operation driving wheat trucks, going for parts and cooking for workers. She loved cooking and was an excellent cook.
She and C. A. were very active in the Russell Baptist Church and she continued to live in the Russell area until she decided to move to Baptist Village Assisted Living in Oklahoma City in 2007. She later transferred to the memory care unit at Baptist Village where she lived for several years. She died peacefully in her sleep January 30, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Dwayne, parents Harry and Bertha Baker and brother Buddy J. Baker.
She is survived by her son Curtis Lee and wife Sue of Bethany, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law Karen of Mangum, 3 granddaughters
Tracey Goff and husband Gary of Oklahoma City, Kathie Wynn of Hinton, Oklahoma and Whitney Snow and husband Chris of Mangum and 1 grandson Greg Wynn of Jester. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, Abigail (Abby) Goff, Andrew Goff, Allie Snow and Tessa Snow, sister Harrye Mae Morris of Duncanville, Texas, brothers Tommie Baker of Lompoc, California and Bill Baker of Duncanville, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Greer Funeral Home in Mangum.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Russell Baptist Church with interment following at Russell Cemetery.
