Steven Gage Calhoun, age 18, of Granite, passed away Wednesday evening, January 18, 2017, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, in Elk City.
Gage was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on April 18, 1998, to Steven Miles Calhoun and Christine Lynn (Lynch) Calhoun. He grew up in Granite where he graduated High School in 2016. Gage had a big heart, great personality and was always smiling. Gage loved life and all those around him. His smile and laugh were contagious. When he was little, he loved to ride his bike with Carsyn, from their house to the station and working with his dad. He loved being in the outdoors, either hunting, camping, fishing or just sitting around with Gerad. The happiest day of his life was, May 28, 2014, when he welcomed his baby girl, Jentri Michelle, into the world. She was his whole world. He spent every second he could with her and loved her tremendously. Currently working for Rodeo Electric, in Sayre, Gage had just earned his journeyman’s license.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Calhoun, he is survived by his daughter, Jentri Michelle Calhoun; his parents, Christine and Gerad Dowty and Steve and Adrian Calhoun; five sisters, Carsyn Calhoun, Carlee Dowty, Berkley Dowty, Brooke Jefferson and husband Robert Jefferson and Alexa Britton; two brothers, Lane Dowty and Kylin Monday; grandparents, Karen Calhoun, Mark Lynch and Peggy Davis, Mary and Gary Dowty and Steve and Jan Rose; great grandmother, Hazel Henthorn; one niece, Braylee Jefferson; one nephew, Bowen Jefferson and many other relatives and a host of friends.
